We strive to make the industries we work with more sustainable and help our clients reduce their carbon footprint.
Copper is one of the ‘greenest’ metals available, and it is estimated that 80% of all copper produced in the last 10,000 years is still in use today. In addition, it uses 15% – 40% less energy to recycle copper than to produce it, making its reuse entirely viable.
It has a host of beneficial properties when used as pipework. As well as being durable, it’s is also antimicrobial, sustainable and can be repeatedly recycled, giving it an infinite lifecycle. In addition, we are so confident in the quality of our product we can provide guarantees spanning centuries.
Plastic piping is commonly used in homes and offices and has to be replaced regularly due to cracking and general wear and tear. It also cannot be reused in other installations.
At Lawton Tubes, we’re tackling this issue head-on. We are proud to be working alongside the Copper Sustainability Partnership (CuSP) to challenge, educate and inform industry leaders about the benefits of copper.
Our aim is to help combat the overuse of plastics and support the businesses we work with in implementing a renewable solution for the future, to safeguard the natural world.
